What Hogwarts House were you sorted into, and why did the Sorting Hat make that selection?

I'm a Hufflepuff because I exhibit more of the traits than I do Ravenclaw, the other house the Sorting Hat thought of for me. I'm more loyal and friendly than I am studious.

Were you a hatstall (where it took the Sorting Hat a long time to decide) or was the decision immediate?
I was most definitely a hatstall!

What classes do (or did) you like the most?
I love herbology and astronomy!

Which did you like the least?
DADA is definitely my least favorite, though I understand the necessity!

Any classes you did well in but didn’t particularly enjoy?
Transfiguration.

Are you a muggleborn, a half-blood or pureblood?
Muggle-born

How has your blood status affected your life in the Wizarding World?
After the Second Wizarding War, it's been much easier. I still get sneered at from time to time by older witches and wizards.

If you were in the UK during either time He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named rose to power, what was that like?
I wasn't born yet.

What is your greatest strength?
My kindness and insatiable need for fairness.

More importantly, what is your greatest weakness?
Jealousy.

What are you looking to do after you finish school?
Become a healer at St. Mungos!

If you’ve graduated, have you found your dream job?
I haven't graduated yet.

What do you feel is the most fascinating aspect of magic?
How, exactly, does it work? Are we descended from the fae?

Do you want to use magic to help others, or to further your own ends?
I will always use my talents, magical or no, to help others. But let's be real, everyone uses it to further their own ends no matter how altruistic they are at heart.

If you are being honest with yourself, what do you really want?
What I really want is to have a life better than what I have had.

Do you have any pets?
Of course! I have a little Mismarked Agouti rat!

What’s their name, and how do they act?
Her name is Alwyn and she is a sweetheart. Very intelligent and loving. She loves learning new tricks so I'm always teaching her! She also adores cuddling so she can often be found 'round my neck fast asleep, or running about my shoulders sniffing everything and everyone she can. She LOVES getting into mischief so I'm often having to pull her away from other animals (she swears she's just trying to make friends!) or out of others' stashes of goodies.

Is there anything interesting about your family?
I'm a descendant of Clara Barton- the woman who started the American Red Cross Association. I'm also related to the man who was the architect for Old Tuscon, AZ. And there is one signature/initial in a census that separates me and the infamous bandit Butch Cassidy. (It literally comes down to whether the initials were from a woman or a man. Since Mom and Dad had the same initials, we can't be sure)

Any oddities or disagreements?
I AM the oddity! I'm the odd one out 100%. I'm the shortest, plumpest, and most artistic. And I'm the biggest nerd!
