Backstory
I'm a half blood, mum was a witch, and dad was a muggle. My mum worked for the ministry as an auror and my dad owned a bookstore in the muggle world. I was only 3 years old when the second war started, my brother and I spent a lot of time with my aunt and uncle (muggles) while my parents were at work. When the ministry had fallen, my mum spent a lot of time working in secret with The Order and closely with those at Hogwarts, as an ex student, it was a place that she felt she had to protect so that me and my brother could have a future there. My mum had been at Hogwarts fighting against the Death Eaters in the final battle for two days, my father tried to get her to come home, worried that she would be killed but my mum refused to give up fighting, frustrated and scared, he left my brother and I with my aunt and went to find my mum. He arrived searched frantically for my mum before finding her in a head on battle with a Death Eater, hearing him shout the killing curse, he quickly ran and jumped in front of the spell about to hit his wife and died instantly. My mum furious with grief went after the death eater and died in battle. My brother and I lived with my aunt and uncle from then on, we were always be told the truth about how my parents died heroically. My brother 3 years old than me and went to Hogwarts first, he was placed in Gryffindor house just like my mum, and so was I when I turned 11 and started at Hogwarts. I made a small group of friends that I spent all my time with and aced many of the classes but had a particularly hard time with Defence Against the Dark Arts and A History of Magic, as the great battle was often a topic that came up. Even so many years later, I was a very emotional teen and struggled to not cry when my lost parents came to mind. Something that really helped me through Hogwarts was Quidditch, I was a great flyer and played chaser for the Gryffindor team all through my years and was even Prefect and Quidditch captain in my final few years.I left Hogwarts with all of my NEWTS apart from DATDA and AHOM, and a huge passion for sports. After a few years out, travelling and just trying to enjoy my life outside of school, I decided to return to Hogwarts to retake the two NEWTs that I failed. The current head teacher saw my talents and asked me to be Hogwarts Quidditch coach and of course I accepted. And that's where I am now, 24 years old, trying to conquer my fears of the Dark Arts and reliving history, whilst teaching my favourite sports.
