Backstory

I was a Gryffindor student..yes, a proud pure-blood Gryffindor who came out of a family of Slytherins and dark wizards. My family despised me for this (most of them did...my twin sister was the exception. She's not in Slytherin either, but a brilliant Ravenclaw.) I was one of those quite infamous "Hat-Stalls", as they call my kind. The Sorting Hat had a difficult time deciding my fate, and I did ask for Slytherin at the time, I remember. My family taught me that Slytherin was the best house, I believed so before the Hat made it's choice to land me with the crowd of Lions. When my older brother saw me swathed in red and gold, you won't believe the look on my his face. The Gryffindors welcomed me despite of my last name, and I had a great life...I didn't bother go back to the Rosier family after the term ended, my sister did, but I found a place to stay. Things went that way for three years...at least I remember it was three. I can't be sure, it's been so long since that happened. A Quidditch game, it was, Gryffindor against Slytherin. I was the seeker. I can't say whether he did it on purpose, but yes, the Slytherin beater hit the bludger towards me. With a lot of unnecessary power and a couple of weight jinx that made the bludger heavier than an elephant (not that I've seen an elephant...but I suppose it's a good description. The bludger caught me on the side of my head and I went down. I don't know whether I died from the fall or the bludger on my head, but Slytherin was disqualified for using hexes and causing the death of a student. Yes, that student is me, Drew Rosier. The beater who hit the bludger was expelled, the others on the Slytherin team were punished. I made sure to spend plenty of my ghostly time annoying them, too. I mean, at least I don't have homework as a ghost, think positively, right?
I am and have been for the past few centuries, a Gryffindor Ghost. The only bad thing is getting stuck at thirteen forever...my zits probably never will go away, but you can't see them on my transparent face anyways, the blood trailing down the side of my face is cool, so I suppose it's a good deal. The first few years of my death, my family grieved. I mean, my sister grieved, my family pretended they didn't have a Gryffindor son. I talked with Jennifer a lot...yes, Jenny, that is my sister's name. Did I mention it earlier? Guess I didn't. In the hallways I escorted her to most classes, (if the professor lets me, I even stay there in class with her). Years later she eventually got over my death, my friends and family left Hogwarts to move on, I remained in the Hogwarts castle for year after year.
I try to be helpful as well, for example leading the way for first year students who are lost. At least, I lead the way for Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs, and Gryffindors. Slytherins I choose to ignore, not that any of them has ever gotten lost. Man, those kids seems to know the castle inside out before they even got their letters.
Do I talk a lot? Yeah I talk a lot. As a ghost, there isn't much to do other than chat. I didn't stay lonely for too long, thankfully. My father died, and someone put his portrait in the Hogwarts hall! I know, great, right? Now I get to annoy him day and night, tell him all of my adventures as a Gryffindor. I can float around freely, he can't come out of the portrait and hit me...so I can irritate him as much as I want. What do the students now call it? Oh yeah, Karma.
