Backstory

I was sorted into Slytherin after the Sorting Hat discussed with itself whether I was better suited for Slytherin or Ravenclaw. It decided that although I am a quick learner and excel in my muggle classes, that I had such 'a great ambition and vision for my life.' O r something of that nature. I suppose it was slightly awkward, sitting up there for twenty minutes or so, just waiting.
I am a Pureblood, and although my parents thing that mixed blood is somewhat of a disgrace, I do not see it quite that way. I think everyone has their own potential for greatness and ability to succeed. I do think that my blood status has opened doors to me as a child that mixed or muggle blood witches and wizards are not afforded, which is quite sad.
I was born just after Lord Voldemort rose to power the second time, which I must say is very unlucky for me. I do not remember most of it but from what I do remember, it was not a good time. Then when Harry Potter defeated him, I do believe life became just that much brighter.
If I had to choose, I believe my greatest strength is divided into two things. The first, my willingness to forgive and get over things easily. I do not trust easy, mind you, but I do tend to let go of grudges fairly easy. My other strength would be my magic. Witch or not, I've always been able to use magic without a wand. Controlled magic, mind you. Not all that willy nilly flimsy flamsy codswallop most magic children can do.
My greatest weakness, however, is most likely my inability to trust. Possibly due to my magical abilities, I never quite managed to trust anyone fully. Except maybe my immediate family.
I am most excited about starting my life in the wizarding world after I graduate. I would either like to be a professor, an Auror (although that is a dreadfully over rated profession and as such has far too many wizards applied), or a Ministry Official.
I do believe the most challenging aspect of learning magic is the belief that, for example, when you command it, the feather will lift from the table. It's very easy to forget that the magic is real, even if you live in a world submersed in it.
If I am being truly honest, I want an excellent magical education and a set of new friends ready and willing to undertake the challenges of life after Hogwarts with me.
I have a few cats and a few dogs, but I really want an owl. My mothers owl is so pretty, but he bites and no magical creatures professor has yet to tell me how to keep it from biting me. If I could find a pretty owl who doesn't bite, that'd be fantastic.
My family is big. My father is the fifth of seven children, and my mother is the fourth of six children. But I do love my family, and there is never a dull moment in my home.
