Backstory

I've just started Hogwarts after just finding out that I was a witch. There's a lot that I don't understand. I was sorted into Slytherin house and I've heard a lot of bad things about it. I just hope I can make friends here and get along with my housemates.
I can't wait to learn everything there is to know about magic. My parents were very shocked when they got my acceptance letter in the mail, at first they thought it was a prank until more and more came in the mail. My siblings were quite jealous of me being a witch, but they got over after a stern scolding from my mom.
It was kinda embarrassing how my parents were fawning over me and everything when we were getting my school supplies, not to mention the stares we got from the other witches and wizards made me very uncomfortable. I'm very timid so it was very daunting having to talk to all the shopkeepers, and my dad was no help either.
I'm excited for Defense Against the Dark Arts and Care of Magical Creatures third-year. And I hope to figure out why I'm the only one in my family of 6 that became a witch. I just hope my timidness doesn't get in the way of me making friends and being able to do well at Hogwarts.
I have 3 older siblings Ludwig, Ophelia, and Wolfgang(my mom was a bit of an eccentric). My dad, James, is a police officer and my mom, Alois, is an english teacher.
I'm just happy I get to bring a pet I'm bringing a cat I bought with my birthday money. I named her Lila the store owner said she was a good judge of character, whatever that means.
