Backstory
My name is Pushpa Patil. Born on May 4th, 1980, I was a Muggle-born Gryffindor during the time of the Second Wizarding War. I was one of the longest Hatstalls in history; the hat took almost a full ten minutes to place me in Gryffindor, saying that my wide range of aptitudes made me a suitable candidate for all four Hogwarts Houses, especially Gryffindor and Slytherin. I myself begged the hat not to place me in Slytherin; my choice determined my future, and I became a proud student of Gryffindor House. My status as a Muggle-born, something I am proud of, endangered me more than most other anti-Voldemort fighters, but that didn't stop me from fighting as a part of Dumbledore's Army; I was a close friend of Harry Potter's, even having dated him for a time, and like him, I spent my seventh year on the run, returning to Hogwarts only to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts, where I suffered a great loss: the death of my beloved boyfriend, Fred Weasley. Saddened, I busied myself in my work, trying to cope with my loss, and on May 2nd, 1998, exactly one year after the Battle of Hogwarts, I published "The Boy Who Lived: Memoirs From the Second Wizarding War", which earned me worldwide acclaim as an author. A few months afterward, I was offered the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, as well as Head of House for Gryffindor, at Hogwarts, by none other than the now-headmistress Minerva McGonagall. I accepted gladly, enjoying my job immensely, and after a while, having bonded over our mutual grief, George Weasley, who had divorced his wife, Angelina Johnson, and I were married in 2000, having three children together: Fred Fabian Weasley, Jr., Nymphadora Tonks Weasley, and Lavender Minerva Weasley, of whom I could not be prouder. Although I love George and our children dearly, I still wait for the day when I am reunited with my beloved Fred...
