Backstory

Greetings! My name is William Carter, and I am a pureblood wizard who works for the MLE (Magical Law Enforcement). I was born in raised in Dinan, France until the age when I receive a letter to attend Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. As for my position in the Ministry, I have served in the patrol section of the MLE for the past five years, and I am proud to call it my home. Ever since I was little, I knew that I was destined to work in the Ministry, but the idea of working specifically for the MLE came a little later in my life when I fell in love with Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms. (I also fancy Herbology!) I found a position in the Ministry through my parents, who are currently employees of the Ministry themselves. My mother is in the Department of Magical Education, and my father enjoys a lively position in the Department of Defense.

I attended the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, as I mentioned earlier, from spring of 2004 to autumn of 2011. (I do hope it is not a surprise to you that Beauxbatons does in fact have male students in attendance. It is not an all female school, despite popular belief!) I ended up attending Hogwarts in April of 2017 to touch up on some of my magical interests, per the Ministry's suggestion. I found myself in the House of Gryffindor despite my interest and secret desire to be placed in Ravenclaw. But, after a short period of remorse, I did become comfortable and pleased with the idea that I had been placed into such a wonderful, welcoming house. Returning to education studies after all this time, plus attending a foreign school, has thrown me off a bit, but I am determined to not let it deter me. It is taking some time to get used to.
