Backstory

I will never forget the day I got my letter to Hogwarts. It was confusing, and terrifying. You see, I lived with my grandmother, Mildred, and she is of the strong Christian type. I'm sure you can imagine what could have happened. I almost didn't make it. I was so worried that I'd get caught, but I knew, just KNEW, that there was something special about me that I needed to find. And this ticket to platform 9.75 was my way to get there. And it was. I did it. I ran away from home to learn Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The train ride in was the most nerve racking. Only a few poked their head into my car, and two of them stayed, but spoke quietly to themselves. Its not their fault I could hear them talking smack about my obvious lack of excitement. I was scared. The hours felt like days, but we finally arrived. The looming castle was as eerie as it was beautiful, and the reflection on the water begged me to take a picture. So I did. With my Nikon. Had the surrounding boats' occupants staring at me like I'd grown another head. Almost laughed. Then we got sorted. I really wasn't expecting the Hat to speak to me, let alone have a sizable debate with it. He said that with my ambitions I could make a great Slytherin, but there was something cold about the one's I had seen and it reminded me too much of home. I'm not entirely sure what convinced him, but the thundering applause when I was sorted into Hufflepuff made my heart squeeze a little.

Starting classes was what I looked forward to most. There's not greater thrill for me than learning. The only thing that seems to be a constant hindrance is my general ignorance to what seems like wizard politics. There's something, a word, or set of words, that are supposed to, seemingly, change how you view people. Its been thrown at me, and while it doesn't bother me terribly, as I don't even know if it applies to me, it seems to aggrieve many, and pleasure few. I do not like it, and I don't believe I will tolerate it.

I'm very interested in Charms and DADA, and am actually very curious about transfiguration. The courses seem challenging and the teachers open. Perfect.

There is something about me though. Things I can't explain. Like how I can almost always get my way in difficult situations. Or how I can tell what people are thinking. Nothing too big, but things like feelings, and I can -always- tell when someone's lying to me.

There's also... something... a hunger, inside me. Something that longs to get out. It battles (or incites) something else, something large and wild and aggressive. My studies are always aligned to figure that out.

I'm a quick learner and a fast study, but when I've found my limits, I break myself upon them. So far, I've been the only one around to pick myself up after, to stumble into the wall of my limitations, forcing myself to climb over them. I hope in studying magic it won't hurt so much, but what do I really expect. Greatness is always preceded by pain and suffering. My only question on that is why, by now, with how much I've suffered already, how great am I? How great am I going to become?

Mia is one of the only things I've truly clung to as my own. If I hadn't found her, malnourished on the streets of Diagon Alley, she be dead, and the only family I'd currently have is someone who hates me. She's the epitome of cat, with some kind fox thrown in. Not really sure what she is, possibly a magical creature, but she's mine, and I love her dearly. Her enormous ears have little tufts that stick up and tickle my nose when she rubs her face against mine. I can't think of any other way to wake up.

(What Thea doesn't know is that where her memory begins, a few years ago, something awful happened when someone came looking for her parents, (her mother was a powerful witch who was Half-Veela, and her father was a Terran bound High Dark Fae that fell in love with Thea's mother) and the and part of her memory of about 6 years was taken from her. She is spell resistant, because her father was descended from a strong Fae bloodline, although she doesn't know it yet. at a young age, she accidentally morphed herself into a bear. a natural animagi, possibly from the strong magics in her life-force. i'm currently looking for a group of people to role play their adventures at hogwarts.)

Height: 4'10"
Weight: 110lbs
Complexion: creamy, smooth olive tones grace her skin, her sharp features accentuated by the shade of her flesh.
Style of Dress: simple and modest, as she has limited funds. prefers jeans and long hippe skirts, accompanies by tank tops and ripped shirts. her uniform is always immaculate.

Bloodtype: O-
Birthday: June 19th, 2006

Hobby(ies): mostly reading, but she ejoys many muggle things like video games and cartoons, but she really loves finding cool and interesting magic riddle books.
Special Powers: as a Human-Veela-Fae hybrid, there a a few odd things about thea. her Fae blood gives her spell-resistance, and a strong bit of it too. she also pulls different kind of magic than normal. her fae ancestry allows her to connect freely to the magic source that covers the world, but unlike casting magic normally where you pull only so much to power your spells, all she has to do is open herself to it and a torrent of pure power flows through her. her need to control it is dire, however, since casting magic actually uses energy (usually small, unnoticed amounts) her body cant produce enough energy to channel the raw power. magic sickness, like food poisoning, sets in. her Veela heritage gives her the undesired effect of a constant charm person spell. some mixture of her blood also boosted her natural magics, and her family (when they,d been alive) were surprised to find that she was a natural Animagi. of the bear variety. the iron choker seems to keep it at bay as well as her fae powers. her powers of ligilimency are as uncommon as it is uncontrollable. she cant ever turn off her lie detector, though most of the time she just believes she has a good sense or judgment.
