Backstory
When I came to Hogwarts as a first year, after my parents' reluctant signature, I had no idea what house I'd be sorted in. I didn't feel like any of them were necessarily bad, I just didn't know where I'd fit. For a moment, it didn't seem that the hat did either. It tossed back and forth between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, and when faced with the decision, I chose Gryffindor. Not for any sense of superiority, for Hufflepuff is an amazing house. But I felt I had more to learn from Gryffindor. I wished to pull out the bravery inside of me that I was so eager to use for others, and begin to build my own self confidence and use it for myself. Immediately upon learning what classes were available, I was fascinated. Bored with muggle studies, I took an intense interest in every single class, not having an adverse opinions to any of them. I was particularly zealous about Care of Magical Creatures. My tendency toward muggle animals carried over into the wizarding world. My most intense struggle is and will always be self confidence. I am constantly second guessing, constantly doubting myself. But I also have a natural curiosity for most subjects, and will independently pursue knowledge of my own accord. My plans for the future were...a bit more cloudy. Being new to the wizarding world there are simply so many options...who knows what will happen when I graduate?Being apart from my father gave me the opportunity to finally have a cat (as he has an extreme aversion to them). I own a white ragamuffin cat, who I affectionately refer to as my son. His name is actually Nico. He is rather needy for a cat, having a tendency to sit on my books as I try to study and nuzzle me until I give him the affection he requires. He sleeps with me and does very well at keeping me company, since I struggle making friends often.
My family and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of things. Our relationship was...incredibly volatile while I was at home. With distance our relationship has improved, and they send me letters. Most of my letters come from my many siblings (4 to be exact). While none of them have shown an aptitude for magic, I hope they do someday so I can share with them my passion for magic.
My goals here are to make friends and become the best wizard I can possibly be.
