My name is Amber. I love meeting new people and learning anything and everything! I always knew I was different from other kids; I was creative and quick-witted. I could - as muggles would say - clap-back so hard, it would knock you into next week. I enjoyed things that most people considered weird or taboo, and as hard as I tried to be 'normal', it never failed to backfire on me. I went to a muggle school, where the greatest thing a child did all day was spend 30 minutes pushing each other around on the playground. I excelled beyond the years of my peers, to the point that my instructors put me in the gifted and talented classes. Being a Hogwarts student, nothing can really surprise you; someone blew up the third floor girls bathroom again? There's a troll in the dungeon? Gryffindor and Slytherin students are on the lawn throwing curses at each other? Yeah you see it all, and as a Ravenclaw we must stick to our studies and books. We don't go looking for trouble where trouble isn't wanted - or at least that's what our prefects tell us - you lose points that way; just because we aren't as brave as Gryffindor or as cunning as a Slytherin doesn't mean we don't enjoy getting the ol' epinephrine flowing. I never gave much thought as to what I would do after Hogwarts, I thought one day I would become a great Auror and battle against dark forces, maybe work in the Ministry of Magic, or work with magical creatures. Whatever I decide to do, I must first study and learn; besides, a girl's best friend isn't really diamonds, it's her books. Right?
