Backstory

When I first came to Hogwarts I was sorted into Slytherin, much to the chagrin of my family, who had quickly embraced many of the stereotypes tied to each house. After the Sorting Hat had spent around five minutes deliberating between Ravenclaw and Slytherin--for me, five minutes of intense embarrassment--the Hat declared its final choice. I am thrilled with the prospect of honing my abilities and learning about my magical heritage. I must admit, I am rather intimidated as a muggle-born sorted into Slytherin House; my research of the Wizarding World was marked by horror at Salazar Slytherin's resolve to murder all muggle-borns at Hogwarts. Despite my hesitations, I feel driven to succeed in this new chapter of my life.
