Backstory

(Younger Student) When I received my Hogwarts Letter that faithful day, I didn’t know what it would mean. At first I thought it was just a joke, ya know? My sister sometimes played pranks on me, or blamed me when some weird stuff happened around the house. How was I supposed to know regular pencils couldn’t write in all the colors of the rainbow? Anyway, my parents were going to go shopping in London anyway and they figured they would humor me. Boy, the look on their face when we stopped by the Barren Bulldog pub and the sign said “The Leaky Cauldron” instead! The innkeeper was an odd but friendly man, and there were some people to help show us around. The coolest part of Diagon Alley was picking up Herbology gear. I just love plants! I might finish with “One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi” before school even starts.

Both of my parents are half-bloods. We had lived in London for 11 years when the Hogwarts Letter made its arrival. I was reading a Charms book which I'd found laying on mum's bed before. Mum stormed out of nowhere, and read the letter in front of me. I didn't know what it was, but I was sure as Merlin that mum did. Mum explained about nearly everything: Diagon Alley, Mr. Ollivander, King's Cross station, Hogwarts Express, the term 'Muggles', Hogwarts, the houses, and so much more that I sprung from the couch I was sitting on and grabbed mum by the arm, forcing her to drag me to Diagon Alley and purchase my supplies. I didn't know why, but the thought of being a witch surely fueled up my burning thirst for excitement and adventure. She nodded and took me to Diagon Alley by Floo Network. It was cool. She bought me all of the books, my magic wand, and an owl which soon was named Incarnadine by me. Which amazed me really hard though, was Honeydukes. Surely, mum purchased all of the sweets and gave it to me. We ate all of them ate home. My personal favorite is Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. My favorite flavor? Definitely the first one I ate, which luckily turned out to be chocolate. And after lots and LOTS of tutoring sessions by my one and only mum, I'm here, at Hogwarts, studying about Charms!
