Backstory

(Older Student) I was born in America to two wonderful Muggles and when I was 5 we moved to England for my dad's job. My parents and I didn't realize what I was until I accidentally caused mayhem at the local shop whilst having a childish tantrum. They were approached by someone from the Ministry, from the Muggle Liaison Office to be exact, and our whole world changed. My parents and I knew nothing of the wizarding world so when I received my Hogwarts letter it was definitely new territory for all of us. So off to Hogwarts I went and me, a child of two Muggles, was sorted without question into Slytherin. Let's just say I was met with nothing but surprise, confusion, and sometimes repugnant sneers when that fact was made known. While I can't imagine being in a different house I defy many odds usually expected of a Slytherin, for example I could never hurt a fly and am a bit of a pacifist. I'm constantly trying to change people's perspective of what it means to be a Slytherin and that we're not all cruelly ambitious or so egotistical that we see others as inferior. Most of us are just here trying to get our magical education and become the best wizard we can be!
