Backstory
Hello, I am a half-breed human vampire. I was raised on the streets and was sent to many orphanages, but appearing with extremely pale skin and dark eyes, my adoption wasn't sure. I never had many friends growing up, other children were afraid of me and teased me about my canines. Even times they would pester me enough just to see me growl so I'd look like the monster everyone saw in me.One day, I met a young boy who changed my childhood for the better. He wasn't having too much luck with adoption either so we agreed that we were just "too special" to be chosen. We were pity friends, but strong companions over the years. From what I could tell, there wasn't anything physically wrong with him, but there was a sort of dangerous energy that kept us from being too close to each other. He eventually left with an older man, probably some long lost family member, while I stayed until I was 17. The children to whom I grew up with were becoming more vulgar and violent around me. I ended up being kicked out of the orphanage, once they found a young child drained of blood and covered in dirt. I admit, it wasn't my best move but the kid had it coming. Since they couldn't exactly prove that I did such a thing, I was just forced to leave and do what I could on the streets.
I lived on the streets, being a thief and eating rats and mice from the back alleyways, until I was about 21. Or at least I think I was 21. Thanks to my excellent hearing, a train was coming into town for some students to return home for the summer. This was nothing out of the ordinary, so I didn't pay it so much mind. In retrospect, I could smell their scent from a yard away with such hunger. Living off of scraps can do that to a person. I needed some money to help get a decent trade with a blood dealer. Basically, someone who steals blood from banks and hospitals and sells them to creatures like me for a bit of a price. It's a full meal, and one I wouldn't have if I didn't pick a good pocket soon. I watched young children leave the train as a familiar elderly man entered my surprised view. You know him as Albus Dumbledore, a famous and highly respected wizard. All I knew was he had given a new life to a kid I used to know, and that his pocket would surely get me that lovely meal.
I stalked him for a ways, as I saw him turn a sharp corner. Amazingly, I wasn't fast enough. I turned the corner too to find him gone. Utterly surprised a human could move so fast at that age, I had stumbled into a trap. The brightest blue light shunned my vision as I tightly shut my eyes to recuperate. At that moment, I couldn't move my limbs and my vision was severely impaired. A low rumble of a voice spoke to me with shock and wonder. I was so ashamed that I actually got caught. After a few more moments of him just scoping me out, he let go of his hold on me. It took a while for my vision to restore once he had left, but the most interesting thing was that he had left a sickle near my weak feet. That was the first time I had ever truly met the great wizard, and I do say that is not where my story ends.
Long story to being relatively short, I was captured on a cattle run in as I was then feeding off of more bigger animals, and that means more attention. It was sloppy, but it ended up being another part of my journey. The Ministry of Magic had to seek my case as I was considered impure and a wizarding creature. I knew i was different, but the muggles never really gave me a name befitting the monster. They sent me to do the behind the scenes dirty work that would later become my most becoming job. I enjoy it, and it keeps my abilities in check. Do to an outbreak of a certain wizard, Sirius Black was it? .. Anyway, I was than about 25. I wasn't given a lot of credit for what I did for the ministry, but they knew I'd get my job done. Although as much as I was an ally, they just couldn't see past my "icy" exterior.
I was boarded on a train to hunt down the rogue wizard and not to be brought back alive. From what I concluded from the papers, his lack of sanity was a little discomforting. I had a small bit of background information to go off of. For a man of his attitude, he didn't seem like the type to just go home. Instead, he was already looking for his next victim. A child's name stuck out, Harry Potter, who was linked to the man by familiar means. Figuring the man would want to make some kind of contact. I had a strict meeting with Albus, and unexpectedly dumped on him once the Ministry saw that my mission would not be a success. Having no personal ties to me, they gave my responsibility over to the only bidder. Albus was weary and understanding of my awkward predicament.
I ended up staying around the grounds for any kind of danger assistance or protection needs that I could fulfill. Hagred was the first half-breed human giant I had the pleasure of meeting. He was so kind to provide a living space for me in his cabin, as I was not to be seen by students or professors by day. At night was when I did my rounds, nothing too fancy.
On a drastic night, a full moon night, a werewolf had transformed near the weeping willow tree, or whatever Hagrid called it. I immediately ran inside the hogwarts castle as the halls were clear and students were already in bed. I barged into Albus' office and had to interrupt a conversation between a whom to be known as Professor McGonagall. Safe to say, my presence in the castle caused a bit of an uncomfortable surprise to many professors who were not to discuss it among themselves or to let students know of my existence.
Since then, I've met a few friends, I'm about 30 years old now and I now live inside the castle near the dungeon. It's darker down there and easier to bear the light. To my delight, that's where a lot of potion explosions tend to happen. Other than that, I'm just a little known secret. Not bad.. considering.
