Backstory
My twin sister and I never understood why strange things always happened to us; animals would always follow me and were always drawn to me, lights around me would burst when got to scared, and the plants in my garden grew faster than was normal. Strange things happened to both of us, but my sister was better at hiding them I grew up in America, but my family had to move to England because of my mother's job. It was hard at first, not knowing anyone in a totally new country, but my sister tried to look out for me best she could. I started st my new school on my birthday that day we had to dissect a frog but somehow mine was still alive, my teacher was shocked that she hadn't noticed that the frog was alive before, and I was excused from that lesson. I was so embarrassed in that moment and a light above my head exploded. No one made eye contact with me for the rest of the day. I left to go to the restroom and cried in one of the stalls, my sister found me and told me it was okay to be different. She explained to me that she had also been judged in our new school too, apparently the other kids have never seen an American before she joked. When we got home I saw two letter in my mailbox, they was addressed to my sister and I strangely specifically. We opened our letters at dinner that night with our parents and saw that we had been accepted to a school and we were both witches. We finished our year at muggle school and when summer came around we went to Diagon Ally to get all our supplies. I was most excited to finally get a pet, I chose a barn owl and named it Basil, my sister got a ginger cat and named it Ginger. We soon started school and were sorted into our houses, my sister Melody got sorted first, SLYTHERIN the hat roared. Then my name was called, I slowly walked over to the stool and sat down, the hat was placed on my head, as soon as it was touching my head it roared out HUFFLEPUFF. The yellow and black covered table cheered with excitement as I headed over to join them. I've never felt so at home and accepted in a place as I do with my house.
