Backstory

Melanie is a 1st year Slytherin, though she was nearly sorted into Gryffindor. Raised in a respectable pureblood family, though not acknowledged as one of the "Sacred Twenty-Eight" she grew up with a strong sense of pride in her heritage. Her favorite subjects are Transfiguration and Potions, though she is rather fond of Arithmancy as well. She hopes to become an Animangi one day and is known among her friends for her subtle sarcasm.
