Backstory

Hogwarts!AU Claire 'Lightning' Farron (Final Fantasy XIII)

Claire is a muggleborn witch from the city of Bodhum on Cocoon. She was a hatstall; a tossup between both Gryffindor and Slytherin houses. Though possessing both bravery and courage, the young woman was sorted into Slytherin for the sheer amount of ambition she possesses regarding reuniting with her younger sister, Serah, whom is currently in a crystallized stasis sleep. Being a muggleborn Slytherin of all things has brought much grief and unwanted attention, but it doesn't usually get to her; she's got one goal in mind and constantly reminds herself that Hogwarts is a temporary establishment.
She was branded as a Pulse L'Cie for she already possesses magical circuits within her body, making her more compatible with the magical 'blessing' L'Cie are given when branded.

Her greatest strength also happens to be her weakness; Serah.
She would do anything for her sister, to protect her, to have her back, but with that, it also leads to reckless behaviour.

Claire has always been fascinated by the land; growing up on a floating haven above Gran Pulse, she had never felt natural soil, making Herbology one of the most interesting subjects to her. The Dark Arts , and Magical Creatures have also peaked her interest - having intel on your enemies is never a bad thing. However, Divination is a trivial course to her - she believes in carving your own fate, stating "I'm no one's slave!" and that " [she'll] carve out a new fate!"

A notable companion is her lightning-elemental Eidolon, Odin. "a legendary knight who rides his beloved horse Sleipnir to deliver a crushing blow, the "Zantetsuken'" that may be summoned from a rose shaped crystal, known as an Eidolith. He is a gigantic horned knight who wears a white cape and wields a large double-sided serrated S-shaped sword in one hand, known as Zantetsuken, with a massive shield on his opposite arm. If criteria is met, Odin may transform into the horse Sleipnir for Claire to ride.
