Alexius Carrow

Backstory

Alexius was sorted into Slytherin House after a brief moment of indecision by the Sorting Hat. It had taken Ravenclaw House into consideration due to his hunger for knowledge but eventually decided to go with Alexius's preference for Slytherin House. Alexius's favorite classes are Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms closely followed by Transfiguration. He strongly dislikes Divination and opted to take Ancient Runes instead
Alexius is a pureblood that hails from the Carrow family. His blood status has little effect on his life in the Wizarding World if anything it makes it easier. The only difficult burden his family name carries is the association with the Dark Lord and previous members of his family having been Death Eaters. Alexius had been too young to serve as a Death Eater and was a first year during Severus Snape's brief tenure as Headmaster. Like the rest of Slytherin House, he'd been forced to stay the duration of the battle in the dungeons.
His greatest strength is probably his love for all things magic. He can't imagine living in a world without it. His greatest weakness would probably have to be his stubbornness. Alexius doesn't know when to just give up. Alexius is only in his fourth year of study at Hogwarts and is now reading up as much as he can on magical careers to start preparing for the O.W.L. examinations in his fifth year. The other Carrows want him to pursue a career in politics but the subject has always bored him.
The most fascinating aspect of magic to Alexius would have to be the wand He has a penchant for spending some of his free time over the summer holiday into devoting himself into researching wandlore and likes to analyze his friends' wands at school Alexius has of course begun private training in the Dark Arts by some of his family but he has no desire to use it against anyone. He seeks knowledge only for the sake of knowledge. For knowledge is power.
Alexius has a black cat named Salazar. The cat has become something of a mascot for Slytherin House over the years he's been at Hogwarts in addition to the serpent.
