Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts Letter on that joyful day, I was not surprised. I had been expecting it for years. Strange occurrences were always taking place around me. Books would appear in front of me as soon as I thought of them, and sometimes I found that I had knowledge I never remembered learning.

My parents didn't believe "all this hogwash", and thought the letter was a prank. They were going to go shopping in London anyway and they figured they would "play along with the joke". Boy, the look on their face when we stopped by the Barren Bulldog pub and the sign said “The Leaky Cauldron” instead! The innkeeper was an odd but friendly man, and there were some people to help show us around. The coolest part of Diagon Alley was picking up all my school books, and a few extras for a bit of light reading. These books kept me busy for the rest of the summer, and I mastered some basic spells, while gaining a small amount of knowledge on other topics.

My first night at Hogwarts was wonderful. As expected, the Sorting Hat shouted "RAVENCLAW!!!" as soon as it came within a foot of my head. The feast was great, and I made some new friends. I fell asleep thinking about what the future had in store for me...
