Backstory
Born into one of the most prestigious and regal families in wizarding history, my life's dream was to attend Hogwarts as a Gryffindor until graduation to become a member of the High Priestesses of New Orleans. My mother is Agalia Amorecies; an American witch from Louisiana and was the Highest Priestess till meeting my father. High priestesses are not to fall in love with men, as it is believed to cloud their judgement. She revoked her title to marry my father.
My father is Leander Gryffindor; the sole heir to the Gryffindor sovereignty. He attended Hogwarts as a Gryffindor, becoming Head Boy his seventh year and was a great Chaser in his prime. He became an ambassador for the Ministry and met my mother while visiting the American Wizarding School, Ilvermorny, where my mother was searching for the newest High Priestess potentials to join. They wed and had me, planning for yours' truly to take over the Gryffindor throne.
When admitted into Hogwarts, things didn't exactly go into plan. I was sorted in Slytherin house. I understand that the Sorting Hat understands the deep inter-workings of ones' mind to place them into their house, but I used to believe that it also took into account ones' beliefs and family life. I have been shunned by extended family, as they believe all Slytherin are vile and power-hungry villains willing to commit any unspeakable crime to have their way. My parents were trying to resolve my "predicament," but to no avail. As one may know, all sorting is final.
Thankfully for them, eleven years after my birth, they had a son, Alexander. He may be their sole heir as I no longer am deemed fit. I don't resent Alex for his birth as he could never do wrong by merely existing. This way, my family shall be happy, even if it is at my expense.
I have different ambitions now. I joined the High Priestesses of London, so I may rekindle my reputation past my family name. I aim to graduate Hogwarts as Head Girl of Slytherin, receiving top marks on all OWLs and NEWTs, so that I may be considered as Highest Priestess by my colleagues of the High Priestesses of London and possibly soon, the High Priestesses of New Orleans.
One may find me now practicing Potions-my favorite class-in the Slytherin dormitories, or reading Tarot cards in the Great Hall as they are revered by the High Priestesses, or reading Newt Scamander's "Fantastic Beasta and Where to Find Them" with the family lioness, nicknamed "Nala" by yours' truly. I do leave without the family heirloom around my neck, a ring of bewitched ruby that ignites courage and honesty to its wearer, my pack of Tarot Cards, passed down by my mother, and my wand made of Rowan Wood, a phoenix core feather, and is 10 and 3/4 inches in length.
