Backstory

(Older Student) Whoever said NEWTs were easy was obviously lying. As a student in her last year at Hogwarts, I can confirm that they are the worst things since OWL results came out and I had to hide them from my parents for a week. As a half blood, it was pretty easy to keep the letter from my dad, but my mum knows the sound of an owl arriving like the back of her hand- not to mention she was a Ravenclaw and can tell when I'm lying. I don't think she was disappointed that I was in Gryffindor, it's just that she doesn't think red is my colour. Sigh. However, my best class is Transfiguration, followed by Defense Against the Dark Arts, so at least we have those in common (except I'm absolutely pants at Ancient Runes, and she broke the record for highest NEWT grade in AR when she was at school. Eek.) At least I'm better than she could ever be at Quidditch- I'm a chaser and captain of the team.
