Backstory
Jack and Erica Middlemiss are a couple from Sydney, Australia. They met during their second year of university, both having attended the University of Sydney, and three years into their relationship the pair tied the knot and unknowingly settled down in a part muggle part wizard community near the coastline. The year following their marriage the couple fell pregnant and nine months later, in Westmead Hospital, they welcomed a baby girl into their family. They named her Gretel Eva Middlemiss.Gretel’s first visible sign of magic occurred during her terrible twos. Jack and Erica had taken Gretel with them on their weekly visit to the grocery store. Little did they know that Gretel would proceed to take down an entire aisle-full of sweets, from her secure spot in the trolley, in her attempt to reclaim the strawberry lollipop her mother had told her she couldn’t have because they had an entire packet of lollipops at home already. It was the first of many occurrences which would happen that the happy little family of three would not be able to explain.
