Backstory

As a Hufflepuff, I normally lower my gaurd around the people I care for, but unless I know someone really well I can act... a bit defensive or standoffish, for which I apologize in advance. I am muggleborn, so I tend to feel a bit out of place among my peers, but I can't help but want to understand how it came to be that someone like me was gifted such paranormal powers. Well, I'll be damned that I got them! I enjoy herbology the most, but I like to believe that I am keenly adept in my studies. I do have a pet ferret named Soot, the sneaky little thing, and I love to play with him. Hogwarts is a bit daunting, as well as the rest of the wizarding world, as a girl who grew up in a world of muggles with a grade school teacher for a mum and an accountant for a dad, but I know with a little practice and a whole lot of Hufflepuff grit that I can navigate my new world.

My wand is made of 𝚕𝚊𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚕 𝚠𝚘𝚘𝚍, 𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚗 𝚑𝚊𝚒𝚛 𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚎, 𝟷𝟸 & 𝟷/𝟺 𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚜 𝚊𝚍 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚒𝚍 𝚏𝚕𝚎𝚡𝚒𝚋𝚒𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢, from which I have studied up and means that my wand, although disaproving of laziness and a foul-meaning pocessor, it can deal sometimes lethal blows, and, given its flexibility and wand wood, will rarely allow others to weild it (even though it can be won over) and will strike any witch or wizard who attempts to steal it with a bolt of lightning.

Although muggleborn, I try my best to keep up with both the wizarding world and the muggle world, and in my spare time at Hogwarts, I often try to push my understanding of spells, including my patronus. Even though I can only half-way form my patronus so far, I can tell my protector takes the form of a Tonkinese cat.

In my spare time I love to read and write (I have an affinity for poetry and story writing), along with taking care of plants, cooking, and cleaning. Gosh, I love cleaning so much; I'm not even joking. I love doing dishes and laundry, the smell of fresh linen and dish detergent always calms me down, and so I highly suspect that if someone was intereted in me it'd be what they smelled in their Amortentia.

I do go by Ade or Lin, which ever you like - you could call me anything really as long as its not derogitory or ill-meaning (it's fine if it means no harm and is only for shits and giggles) in any way, for example slurs against my (or others) race, class, sexual or personal identification, sex/gender, cutural background, ethnicity, or religion.
