Ashta's parents, Catherine Solberg and Zachary Veyla work at a science lab in Norway. Their research is mostly about magical creatures and transfiguration. Because of this, Ashta has grown to have a deep love of nature and science.
Her parents and older brother, Arden Veyla all went to Hogwarts and were sorted into Slytherin, and her other magical relatives who attented Hogwarts, were also proud silver and green. The sorting hat did say Ashta had Slytherin tendacies, but despite this decided on Ravenclaw in the end.
Her older brother Arden Veyla is three years older than her, and has earned a reputation among professors for being quite the troublemaker. He often creates reckless expiriments without much regard for the consequences, and while he does do many wonderful things with them, there are also many not-so-wonderful disasters that have occured as a result.
