Backstory

My dad is a muggle while my mum is a witch. She knew I was going to be a witch too and when I was 8, she gave me her old Cleansweep broom! She taught me how to fly and gave me a limit for how high I could go, the apple trees in the garden. We live in the country side and I used to complain to my mum all the time saying how there is no muggles who live near us and there's so much space where I could fly. So that same day, after weeks of begging, I flew around in the woods next to our house while my mum planted trees and made them grow by magic. Now I could fly properly without any prying eyes.

By the time I was 11, I had another Cleansweep, two Comets and the Bluebottle. Then when I turned 12, the most amazing thing happend. I got the Nimbus Broom I asked for (I want to become a Qudditch player) and I got a letter from Hogwarts! My mum was so proud of me and hugged me tight. She said we will go to Diagon Alley first thing the next day. My dad was happy for me too, he knows me and my mum's hidden world and he understands and respects it.

The next day when my mum took me to Diagon Alley, the first shop we went into was Ollivander's. My dad waited outside while my mum got out her purse. Then we walked in. Mr Ollivander was standing behind the counter. He instantly gave me a wand as soon as my mum took a seat. He told me to wave it and I accidently broke the chair next to my mum. She gave a wave of her wand and it fixed back together like it was nothing. He then gave me another wand and told me to wave it again. As I did, a golden light surrounded me and I couldn't see anyone. My mum started clapping then got up and walked to Mr Ollivander with a handful of coins. Mr Ollivander said that it was perfect for me and that he had never saw a light come out a wand that bright! I said thank you and walked out to show my dad.

The length is 11 inches, the flexibility is supple, the wood is holly, and the core is unicorn hair. 

Ever since I got my letter, I have counted down the days unitl I go to Hogwarts. I was so excited I felt like screaming!

Finally the day came. We all walked through the barrier at Kings Cross Station and I boarded the Hogwarts Express. I found myself a compartment and waved out of the window to my mum and dad. The train gathered speed and went round the corner, blocking my parent's smiling faces. Then someone opened my comparment door, and that's when I met Oliva...
