Backstory

Abigail is the only daughter of Evan Rosier and his late wife, Elizabeth Rosier. Born on May 27, 1980, her birth did not make her grandfather, Tyler Rosier, unhappy. Because she is a girl, not a boy. 

Tyler even insulted Elizabeth for giving birth to a daughter instead of an heir to the Rosier family. 

A few months after Abigail's birth, Elizabeth developed complications in her uterus, as a result of which she would no longer be able to get pregnant. This made Tyler even more disappointed. Due to the disappointment, Tyler forced his son; Evan, to divorce Elizabeth. So that his son could find a new wife to give birth to the son of the Rosier family. 

Evan, who loved his wife so much, immediately refused his father's request. Elizabeth was everything to him, the mother of his beloved daughter. He had promised, to remain faithful to his wife until the end of his life. Evan's refusal to divorce Elizabeth infuriates Tyler even more.
