Backstory

Lovely to meet you - I'm Natalie! One of the best ways to get to know a person is through their motto. Its the rule they live their life by, the standard their decisions and goals are stacked against, and often their strongest belief. Mine comes from the wise words of Margaret Atwood: "In the end, we'll all become stories." 

I'll leave you to parse out the meaning and impact that quote has had on my life, but until you may find a bit of backstory intriguing (you did visit my profile, after all)! Born and raised on the lovely coast of Devonshire in southwest England, I found myself amidst an integrated community of wizardkind and Muggles. Father is the owner of Delgado's Academic Apothecary, a small workshop where people from the community can have access to a range of texts informing their experiments. Think of it like a communal garden, but for potions and herbology. A bit of everything really...it all depends on who is using it! Mother set up the gardens behind the shop for their customers - a talented herbologist. The greenest thumb I've ever known. If she wasn't a Muggle, I would swear she was using magic.

That eclectic shops was the foundation of my childhood with clients fulfilling my budding curiosity that pestered them with questions on their specialties. The term "renaissance man" comes to mind and I think that would be an apt description of my current understanding of the world. Plenty more to learn, of course, which is why I'm here!
