Savannah Ferlet

Backstory

I received a letter one day. It had strange markings one's I or my family had ever seen. When we read it my father and older brother were so proud of me, we have a witch in the family! My mother would've been so proud but she died a long time ago from a cancer illness, but she fought strong. It was hard on all of us, and still is, that's why I was so excited to go to Hogwarts, a new life, new friends, new things. Not that I wanted to forget my family but I just really needed to get away, write my own story. I got my ticket for the train and said good bye to my brother and father, I could see tears in their eyes but they held it together. Since I was the only witch ever in my family they told us how to get to Platform 9 3/4. I got on the train and I was off, I was surprised it left at exactly 11:00, I could see some students running to try to get on. I got to one of the carts that was empty and vacated it, I was hoping someone would ask to sit with me but no one did, which is fine, just a lonely ride. After the train we got in little, tiny, cute boats with lanterns to light our way through the water and Hagrid was the one to guide us. It was an interesting name if you ask me. As soon as we got into the castle we were placed in our houses by the sorting hat. I got Slytherin, but I don't know if that's good or bad, I heard some students talking about how they would never want to get placed in Slytherin because it's the worst house. Although they said that I don't think it's that bad, some of my fellow Slytherin people are pretty nice, well at least to me... It was kind of weird when I was getting sorted into my house, I heard my name get called, "Savannah Ferlet" and so I walked up there and sat down. I'd seen the hat place three students in their house very quickly but when it came to me the hat was slow. It took him a while to put me in a house he said words such as, "Aww yes I see, very difficult on where you belong... A soft and kind heart would lead you to Hufflepuff, but I sense of thirst for ambition, you are smart and cunning. You are brave and wise, it seems you would fit in all the houses... Odd, very very odd. Well you have more Slytherin blood in you so better be Slytherin!" It was very odd it took him a while, and he just blurted everything out. I also keep getting called a mud blood which is kind of hurtful but it is what it is, they keep saying I'll never get a job of my liking for being a muggle born, which isn't true! I just know it, I just wish I knew what job I wanted, there are so many, it's impossible to choose. I don't have to worry about that just yet I still have many years to figure that out. For now I'm going to focus on school, and my cat, Mushu, he's a black cat and he is a long haired cat. He is so adorable and fluffy, he keeps me company, I got him after my boyfriend broke up with me which was a while back. It was really hard on me so I got Mushu he is amazing, I still wish I had a boyfriend but as long as I have Mushu I won't need anything else. I can't wait to see what else Hogwarts has in store for me here.
