Backstory

Emily spent a lot of time in her parents library growing up, located in England, and she developed a love for reading. Before creating their own library, her parents, Thomas and Gwyneth, worked for the local library. They were both Muggles, so they had no idea of magic until Emily's eleventh birthday, but more about that later. Their summers were spent vacationing, while the school year and holidays were spent going to school, working, and helping the less fortunate. Even though Emily is the couple's only child, they didn't want to spoil her, because they felt that would teach her nothing in life. At the beginning of the summer before her eleventh birthday, Emily received letters of acceptance to Hogwarts and Ilvermony, but she had no idea what these were about, why they flew into her room, or how to make a decision. She ended up choosing Hogwarts after some explanation from a Hogwarts Professor. Once she bought her school supplies (and her cat), she was off on the Hogwarts Express!
