Backstory

Hi my names William Ravenscowl but you can call me Will. I was born in Australia to a British wizarding family and have lived there all my life until comming to hogwarts. I've been obsessed with making things all my life, but I settled on Wandmaking when I was told about my Great Grandfather who pioneered the use of Australian Wandwoods and Cores. I am currently apprenticed to my uncle who inherited the family business and am always exploring new ideas when it comes to wandcrafting which admittedly doesn't always end well. It took me a while to make a wand that was both viable and accepted me as it's partner but finally just before I came to hogwarts I succeeded. It's a great wand! Reliable, Compassionate, Great at finding things and most importantly, great at making things! oh right... I'm supposed to be talking about myself, I get a bit tunnel visioned sometimes. 

I guess I love understanding things other people ignore. Like Snuffles! He's my Niffler. My family trains them to help with wandmaking you see, they're clever little buggers! We tie different coloured shiny ribbons around the various components and woods we use and train them to respond to key words when we need something. They don't always get it right and they can make a right mess when you don't excersise them properly but it's what we've always done. Poor Snuffles is a bit slow though, and blind as a bat which is why he well... snuffles so much. I took him in though and we worked out a system where he puts all the stuff I need in his pouch and gets it out when I need it, in exchange I give him enchanted butterscotch. It looks gold enough that he likes the look (even though its more of a goldish blur to him) and he loves the taste! Oh also his whisker's in my wand! I think thats why It accepted me! Oh... right sorry I got side tracked again. ummm...
