Backstory

Current Year: 1st year!

When I received my Hogwarts letter right before my 11th birthday, my mum had to explain to my dad that both she and I were wizards, which really drove him mad. He packed up and left practically as soon as she showed him her wand, but not before she could do some weird spell that erased his memory of Wizard stuff. I didn't want to believe it either, to be honest. Boarding school for magical children all the way in Scotland? I thought my mum was off her rocker. When I got there, things changed though, didn't they? I mean, I made some really good mates and practising magic and whatnot was way more fun than Physics or Spanish. I think that Hogwarts was probably the best thing that ever happened to me because when I went to Muggle school, I never did very well in my classes and I was always behind but as soon as I joined Hogwarts, it was like I was a whole new person. I mean, I was so determined to do well in my lessons and to impress all my professors. I didn't like it when people thought that I was stupid because I know that I'm not, my teachers in my old school just didn't teach me very well. I much prefer Hogwarts.
