Backstory
I grew up in a rich pureblood household in the U.S. state of Oregon. My mother and father met at Hogwarts, and they are firm believers that this is best magic school in the world. They decided to travel for a while before settling in Oregon and having my brother and me. When I neared the summer after my 11th birthday, they sent me back here to the U.K. to stay with my father's parents and sister so I could come here. My brother was sent with me to give my parents a break. He was born a squib, unfortunately, so he gets lost in his one-man rebellions a lot which causes all sorts of problems.
As a shy Ravenclaw born into a long line of proud pureblood Hufflepuffs, I've been worried about fitting in. My parents are pretending to be okay with it, but the letters from them are always saying things along the lines of: "We're still proud of you even with your... handicap" and "Don't worry if you don't do as well as we did at your age, you can always ask your superiors (doesn't take a genious to know they mean Hufflepuffs) for help." It makes me sad because I LOVE being Ravenclaw. I have no issues with any house and it annoys me that they behave that way. Luckily, my older brother is usually in too much trouble of his own to care about family drama so I don't have to take nonsense from him. My grandparents are a different story though. I just hope they cool off before I have to see them again..... Everyone here has been great, so at least I'm safe for now.
Unicorns, hippogryphs, dragons, etc. are all a part of my life's goal of caring for and protecting those magical creatures we all know and love. I've always had a gift when it comes to building trust with non-humans. However, I struggle with my relationships with others. I get shy and anxious around others, so I tend to keep to myself and my critter friends. The long road of education takes up most of my time when I'm not hanging out with an owl or two, but I still find time for my love of reading/writing, music and crafting. I rarely have a free moment or one of boredom. Excitement is all around me.
