Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts Letter, I didn’t know what it meant. At first I thought it was just a joke, ya know? My older brother often played pranks on me, I figured it was just a well thought out prank of his. Both my parents and my brother are non-magical people: Muggles. My parents hadn't been in the house when the letter showed up in our mailbox, I had shown the letter to my brother after reading it through at least ten times, he had never seen it. My parents finally figured out what the letter meant, they took me shopping, I was so nervous around all the magical people.
I got sorted into Ravenclaw fairly quickly, the Sorting Hat said, "Ah, you hold great wisdom and creativity, you could do great things one day." Being so new to magic I thought, "What does that mean, what house?"
"Ravenclaw!" the Sorting House then called. And now, I'm starting my first year at Hogwarts!
