I barely knew anything about the wizarding world, I had no idea that it even existed outside of the books and movies. So when I got my first letter I definitely thought somebody was messing with me until I saw the shock and excitement on my parents' faces when they saw it. It wasn't until I got to Diagon Alley that I realized it wasn't a joke anymore when I saw all of the kids running around with books and cauldrons and animals of all sort. My first time getting on the train was terrifying for me because it was the first time I left my parents for a long period of time, but once I got settled into a seat and started talking to the other people I was with, it didn't seem like it was going to be that bad.
