Backstory
I'm originally from New York City. Nobody in my family, that I am aware of, is a witch or wizard. So, it certainly was shocking when I got my letter. I feel like I am supposed to say "I always knew I was different" or "This explains all of the weird occurrences". Honestly, I was always "normal", and I don't have any memories of making strange things happen. This made it all the more surprising when I got my letter. My parents wouldn't have believed it if it weren't for the owl. Owls are not common in New York City at all. Not only was it strange to have one show up to our building, but he stayed with us for an entire month. He was well behaved, and I felt like we were having conversations! My parents knew this wasn't normal and it allowed them to open their minds to the reality of Hogwarts.I didn't really know which house I would be sort into. I've read that sometimes family lines are sorted into the same house, but I had nothing to go off of. If I had to guess, I would've thought I would be in Ravenclaw. I am just as excited to be a part of the Hufflepuff family though! I have a deep love of reading and music. You will always find a book in my hand. I was able to bring some of my instruments with me to Hogwarts, but I have yet to find any practice rooms and I don't think people in the dorms want to hear me all the time. Aside from these passions, I have always had an interest in all things animals and plants. Caring for animals is very important to me. I believe every animal deserves love and protection. I think plants are rather interesting too! Considering my food is made of plants, I think they are uniquely wonderful!
I have a little brother. He is only a year and a half younger than me! We are very close, and I'm really hoping he gets a letter when he turns eleven too!
