Backstory

My uncle (Remus Lupin) raised me due to my parents having been murdered at the hands of You-Know-Who when I was just a baby, giving me the scar everyone knows so well. I know I had a twin (Harry Potter who was a half-blood like me) and that we were separated due to us being having too much uncontrolled power. I grew up moving around with my Uncle Remus because he couldn't keep his job for longer than a month (his condition of being a werewolf), so I grew up to be rather isolated. My uncle homeschooled me and taught me everything he could about magic (reason why I'm the best in my year and how I can cast a full Patronus at a young age [which is a hedgehog]). I grew up with many pets, and was rather spoiled despite my uncle having so little, but with what he did have, he made sure to see that I had the best childhood. But my favorite part of my childhood was when I got my Hogwarts Letter at the age eleven. My uncle took me to Diagon Alley as soon as we had time. We bought my cauldron, my owl (tawny which is named Europe), and my robes. The best part was getting my wand: thirteen inches, English oak wood, with a phoenix feather core. It also just so happened the phoenix that gave up the feather to my wand also gave up two others: the one to my brother's wand, and the other to Lord Voldemort. Once we finished getting my supplies, we headed over to Gringotts Bank to get a bit of wizards' currency for my school year. And on top of that, Uncle Remus bought me a new pet for my birthday: a transfiguring rabbit! He could change back and forth from a rabbit to a top hat! I named him Cottontail, and I love him and Europe so much!
Eventually came the time for me to leave for Hogwarts and I was rather excited as I boarded the Hogwarts Express, dressed in my robes and dragging my trunk filled with my belongings in it. I waved my uncle numerous times goodbye since I wouldn't be able to see him until summer came again. I sat with a girl by the name of Hermione Granger and a boy named Neville Longbottom in a compartment, holding Cottontail gently in my arms as he slept. Neville kept losing his toad (Trevor), but I couldn't help but doze off, having been too excited the night before to sleep. I was only shaken awake when the train had come to a screeching stop, Hermione holding the almost-escaped Cottontail in her arms. I thank her and take the rabbit, getting off the train with her, my wand in my back pocket. I tucked my unruly black hair behind my ear, my emerald green eyes trying to look past the sea of students and newcomers. We had gotten on boats to travel up to the castle known as Hogwarts. I was so happy when we got off the boats and stood before the head of the Gryffindor House. Time came for us to be sorted into our Houses, but I was pretty nervous. The Sorting Hat sat on my head for a while, unsure where to put me before it called out my new House: "Slytherin!" I wasn't sure how to feel, but I sat at their table beside a boy by the name of Draco Malfoy. I befriended him quickly, but it never stopped me from putting him in his place over the years time after time.
Over time, Harry and I grew very close and put a whole new definition on twins: we were inseparable. I even stayed in the Gryffindor common room on holidays. My closest friends were of course Ronald Weasley, Xena Aphelion and Hermione Granger. But I fell in love with George Weasley. Ever since I shared my first kiss with him behind the stands of the Quidditch field in my third year. And then he took me to the Yule Ball, and then on top of that, asked me out at the end of my fourth year, and we've been together ever since.
Christmas is just around the corner in my and Harry's fifth year and all the Hogwarts students are at the mercy of the Dark Lord (and Umbridge's detentions aren't making things any better). The Ministry of Magic is in denial that Voldemort is back, but Hermione and I have an idea: to make a secret Defense Against the Dark Arts class where Harry and I are the teachers.
Even if the Ministry won't accept it, we'll be ready to battle back the Dark Lord if he ever comes.

(And yes, I am an animagus. I am a black cat otherwise known as Bottlebrush to a certain Wormtail, Moony, Prongs, and Padfoot)
