Backstory

For so long, I've believed I was muggle-born. Both my parents are muggles. But when I received my Hogwarts letter, my father bestowed a secret onto me that I've never known. His mother, my grandmother, was always the most strange member of our family. It was the rituals and beliefs and the dozens of cats at her house. My dad found me holding the letter and told me that my grandmother was a witch. And all her friends who had passed, reincarnated as cats due to her casting spells on their deathbed so they won't leave her.

It felt like fate, really, when I received the letter. My house was dysfunctional. Felt beat to the ground, most of the time. Wasn't as stable as most were. My dad was my best friend and the only one who was on my side. Leaving him for Hogwarts was difficult. But once I stepped into those doors, I knew I could feel at home. I knew I could finally protect my dad from the horrors of the world if I excelled well as a witch.

My grandmother was a Gryffindor. Which surprised me when I was Sorted into Hufflepuff. Day by day, I see why.

My favorite subjects are Divination, Charms, and, surprisingly, Defense Against The Dark Arts. Only at Hogwarts, I found out that I am a legilimen. I've read minds and absorbed thoughts and emotions like they were my own. Hence, the difficulty in handling my own emotions. But at Hogwarts, I learned to control it.

My friends run to me for comfort because I have never judged people by the first impression. I'm reliable, as they say. I have a savior complex, actually. Sometimes, I'm not proud of it. But most of the time, I am. When you need me, I'll do anything in my power to save you.
