I'm a half-blood wizard, with a witch mother and muggle father. When my mother was pregnant with my younger sister I was hospitalized due to a seizure. Of course my mother knew immediately that it wasn't a seizure, instead I was having a vision. The Avery bloodline was known for having Seers. After the second 'seizure' my mother had to inform my father of magic. He couldn't stick it and disappeared a few days before my mother gave birth. Since then it has just been my mother, sister and I fighting our way through life.
