Backstory

Amy Davies was sorted into Gryffindor, as the Sorting Hat recognised her strive to prove herself and her strong trait of bravery. It took the sorting hat 3 minutes and 47 seconds to come to its decision (not quite a hatstall but definitely not immediate) as it was deciding between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. Amy's favourite classes are Charms, Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Her least favourite classes are History of Magic and Herbology. She is good at Potions but does not particulary enjoy it because of the teacher. She is a half-blood - her father is a wizard and her mother is a Muggle. Her blood status has not particularly affected her unless dealing with purebloods who call her father a blood traitor. During Voldemort's time with power, she is scared but she stands her ground and fights. Her greatest strength is her courage; she will not back down for anything if it is something she believes in. Her greatest weakness is she cares too much about the people around her and seeing them hurt will hurt her. After school she is looking to become an Auror. She thinks that legilimency and occlumency are the most interesting branch of magic. She uses magic to help others around her. as well as entertaining herself. She really wants to be happy and for her family, her friends and herself to make it out of the war unharmed. She shares an owl with her father. The owl is a barn owl and it is called Blythe. She also has her own pet - a small black kitten with one white sock on her front white paw. The cat is named Ella. Her father works in the Magical Law Enforcement department and her mother is a primary school teacher. Her parents are not happy about her wanting to fight in the war, but Amy fights anyway.
