Backstory

As the only child and girl, Kat had a lot of pressure place upon her from her family to be the perfect student, the perfect child, and even the perfect witch. Both her parents had excelled in Hogwarts and expected her to do the same. They had been preparing her for Hogwarts her whole life. Her father wanted a star child to show off to the wizard world. He wanted her to be what he never was and what he wasn't able to be, powerful.

Kat would sit at her window reading books on the history of magic and Hogwarts as she watched the other children in the neighborhood play outside. She hopes that Hogwarts will be different. At least there she will have her independence even though she knows she still has live up to her parents expectations.
