Backstory

Even at a very young age, I was fascinated by magical creatures. Being raised in America for the first eight years of my life, it was pretty interesting growing up with a muggle father and a witch mother. My mother had gotten a job with the British Ministry of Magic shortly before my ninth birthday. It took me quite awhile to get used to my new surroundings. My mother reminisces about the times I would go out and find such creatures as nifflers and baby dragons. I can remember fondly, around the age of seven, befriending a family of Bowtruckles living in a willow tree in our backyard. My parents laughed and laughed when they caught me. I grew up with a distinct love and respect for not only the magical creatures, but with the non-magical creatures that inhabit this world with us.
My love for magical creatures is so deep that when I walked into Ollivander's Wand shop at the tender age of eleven, a beautiful willow and dragon heartstring wand choose me, and I fell in love. We've been inseparable since that moment! As I journeyed through the next seven years of Hogwarts, I found myself loving and acing Care of Magical Creatures and Potions, but having trouble in other courses. I loved the quidditch matches, and enjoying time with my fellow Hufflepuffs. After a particularly easy lesson on Hippogriffs, it clicked: I decided where I wanted to go after Hogwarts. I wanted to devote myself to magical creatures!!
Needless to say, my job isn't the hardest by wizard standards, but it isn't so easy peasy, lemon squeezy, either! You should see some of the burns and scars from all of the cuts I get from the creatures I handle with every day. But I wouldn't trade this job for the world. Most afternoons, I love caring after the rescue creatures I foster in my home and enjoying a hot cup of tea with my auror boyfriend. Other days, I can be found out in the field, studying dragons or some other beautiful creature. My boyfriend considers me as a crazy cat lady of sorts with my rescue creatures; but he thinks it is cute, in a way.
