Backstory

Ruby Salvatore. Ravenclaw. Muggleborn. My parents we’re definitely shocked when my letter showed up in the mail, but I think a part of them knew there was just something different about me my entire life, and in that moment I finally knew what it was. I think the sorting hat put me in Ravenclaw because of my creativity, I’m always writing stories and listening to music and whatnot. It did take a bit though, for the hat to decide. I was almost in Gryffindor, but I think I’d fit in better as a Ravenclaw anyways, and I do love my house. I like Defence Against The Dark Arts, because it’s the one class that gives you hands on experience that will help you when you’re out in the real world. I also like Charms, because it’s fun to learn small spells for everyday use. My greatest strength as a witch, is probably the use of my wand. Ollivander really nailed it when he gave me mine. I feel such a strong connection to it, that I rarely get a spell wrong. My weakness, however, is that I daydream too much. I often think about my brother, going to a muggle school, living a muggle life. Sometimes I think about how much simpler it would be, but then I remember how judgemental muggles are, and how accepting everyone is here at Hogwarts, where you can be anything you want! When I’m older, I definitely want to be some sort of writer, maybe for the daily prophet. But I wouldn’t be one to spill fake news, I would be an editor, a pen always behind my ear waiting to be used. So, yeah...that’s me:))
