Backstory

It was a dark and gloomy night light appeared all of a sudden, coming towards me. It wasn't the soft glow from a lantern, nor a fire. They were the eyes of an owl. For, a letter had arrived, which was extremely unusual since here in the woods, Father and I never got mail, for it was rare. The only time we received mail was when grandmother would send an owl for Christmas, but today wasn't Christmas, it was summer, late July 1987. Before we get any further, here's a little backstory on me. My father, Oliver Greenwood, is a pureblood. However, my mother is a mystery. You can assume she was a muggle, but I think not. Whenever I brought up the topic, Father always would push it aside. The only thing father ever mentioned to me was that Mother had the gift to create the most beautiful & bewildering paintings, and that she was clever, but not like a fox, but like an owl. Father always brings up how I am a mini replica of her, but never mentioned a thing about magic. Father was a quidditch champion. He participated in the quidditch world cup several times, he was a Gryffindor. Which makes me wonder, why was I placed into Ravenclaw since a majority of students here at Hogwarts got into the same house as their parents? Like I had said, my father was a quidditch champion and decided to retire early. He never mentioned why to me. My father would always tell me stories of him and his "mates" and how they all loved one another dearly and even had a dog for their mascot, or may I say our dog, Luna. She is one of my many pets. A week before the letter had arrived, father gave me the gift of a Snowy owl, said that it would come in handy sometime, was as if he knew what was to happen. Well, I think I may be talking too much. I tend to get lost in my thoughts much too often, for I hope you a fabulous day! Bye!
