Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts letter, I was so excited but I was also nervous. I am a muggle-born, you see? My parents did not know I was magic; they knew I could do strange things that they could not explain, but that was it. When an owl turned up at my house in central London, we were all so confused as who sees an owl flying around in a busy city? I was even more surprised when I saw that it was carrying a letter that had my name on it. After I had read the letter and showed it to my parents, we all sat in my living room and started to laugh out of happiness and the absolute craziness of the situation!

My parents and I decided to visit “The Leaky Cauldron”! I could not believe that this whole world was unknown to me for so long. I now felt like I belonged. My older brother and sister had always been the favourite children of my parents, but now I hope that I can make them proud because I am special! The coolest part of Diagon Alley was getting my owl and all of my school equipment. I loved learning that there is a magic sport called Quidditch. I loved all the brooms that I saw - I can't wait to be able to join the Quidditch team in my 2nd year and start learning how to fly a broom in Flying Class.
