Backstory

Hi, my name is Sage Bentley and I was sorted into Gryffindor for my first year at Hogwarts. I was a hat-stall, but because the sorting hat said I was brave and creative, he came to the conclusion that I would perform the best as a Gryffindor. I hope to enroll in Herbology and Defense Against the Dark Arts this year. Growing up a half blood, I was always fascinated with my dad's magic abilities. My mom, a muggle, never really understood the wizarding world, and was very nervous for me to set foot all by myself so far away from home. However, my father was extremely proud when I received my acceptance letter. Even though I come from a long line of Ravenclaws, he supported me unconditionally. My greatest strength is that I am very sympathetic and I like to help people find solutions. However, I find that one of my weaknesses is that I am a people-pleaser and I don't want others to dislike me. After school, I would like to follow my dreams and become a teacher here at Hogwarts myself. I find that magic is a gift and it can help many people in need. As much as I want to use magic to help with everyday tasks, I feel that it is a skill that is taken for granted. For this school year, my parents purchased me a barn owl named Willow so I could send letters to them. She is my first pet and she is just as new to school as me. Hopefully, all of my letters will make it home safely so I can share my amazing adventures throughout the school year.
